The GROOVER 500-LP (167.451) is the first 18v battery-powered machine from Leister. Provided with a 130mm 3.5mm Parabolic TCT Blade (167.026) for Vinyl Floor Laying and Welding (other blades available). It is also supplied with 2 x 18v 5.0Ah Lithium battery packs and charger as well as a vacuum cleaner adapter, dustbag, dust pipe, union nut, hex key, quick guide, and storage case.
This machine is also available for Hire with an option to purchase the machine after the hire period. It can be hired with a small deposit and weekly payments. UK Delivery and Collection service available, price on request.
The new cordless model saves time on the jobsite and eliminates lost time locating power outlets, transporting heavy extension cords around, and eliminates potential trip hazards without all of the tangled cables. Every GROOVER 500-LP includes two batteries so that while one battery is in use, the other can be charged to minimize downtime.
The GROOVER 500-LP has a compact design and is equally suitable for use on large and small floor areas. Additionally, it is perfect for a variety of surfaces including vinyl plank flooring.
A new geometrically designed standard tungsten carbide cutting blade eliminates the need to switch cutting blades when changing from a plastic to a natural floor covering. The advanced Leister cutting blade can be used on plastics such as PVC, PE, PUR and natural floor coverings such as linoleum or rubber.
The groove depth is adjustable from 0 to 6 mm, remains consistent on uneven floors. This is because the Leister 500-LP is equipped with a sensing roller, that maintains accurate groove depth.
When the blade becomes dull you can change it easily and safely by depressing the spindle lock button and using the hex key wrench attached to the tool. The hex key wrench can also be used on all of the user-removable screws.

The Side Stop for grooving along a guide rail is very useful when grooving a floor covering without butt joints, or for repair jobs or when you need to mill grooves with markings or reference lines in the floor covering.

For use in hospitals, clean rooms, and other areas with strict hygiene requirements, an Adapter to connect a vacuum cleaner directly to the GROOVER LP-500 is included. Depending on the power of the vacuum cleaner, this direct extraction significantly reduces contamination from spreading dust particles or chips. Utilising the vacuum cleaner adapter will eliminate the additional need to clean debris out of the grooves before they are welded.

The Dust Tube is rotatable for cutting along walls or other objects as close as 25 mm. This is especially useful when the floor has cushioned-edge profiles and shaped base moldings like flooring in hospitals, clean rooms, and industrial kitchens (wherever high hygiene requirements are in place).

The LED light illuminates the grooving area, making it easier to work in rooms where there is little light.

With the additional second battery with your GROOVER 500-LP Whilst you are busy grooving, simply put the other rechargeable battery on charge at the power supply. Then when your cordless GROOVER runs out of battery you can simply swap over the batteries and carry on.
