Hilwrap Retrofit Braided Sleeve is designed to provide dependable protection for pipes, hoses, wire harnesses, high-voltage EV cables, and other important parts. Its self-closing, wraparound design provides speedy installation, simply open the sleeve, position it over the in-situ cable bundle, and release. This makes it a great choice for EV manufacturing, service, and retrofit scenarios where little downtime and quick access are required.
The sleeve, which is made from multifilament (wrap) polyester yarns, provides a strong, affordable, and lightweight defence against mechanical wear and abrasion. Long-term reliability in high-demand EV applications is supported by the open-weave design, which keeps heat and moisture from being retained.
The low-profile, flexible design fits tightly to EV wiring harnesses, even in confined areas without affecting the movement. Its natural spring-back allows it to follow complex contours and irregular shapes, while still enabling quick harness assembly, easy breakouts and straightforward installation on completed assemblies thanks to its open, self-wrapping design.
Although specifically designed as a self-closing / retrofit sleeving for Cable & Hoses in situ, we also can provide a wide range of high-quality nylon and stainless steel cable ties for additional fixing if so desired.
