Thermoseal thermal glass fire rope is manufactured from textured glass fibre yarn which is knitted and used for sealing stove doors and jointing purposes where a temperature resistance is required. It is commonly used when jointing flue systems to the appliance. The glass fire rope provides a secure and heat-resistant seal between components, preventing the escape of gases, smoke, or heat. This makes it an essential component in maintaining the efficiency and safety of flue pipe systems and stove installations.

A failing stove door seal can cause your stove to burn too rapidly, waste fuel, and reduce heating efficiency. The seal needs changing when the rope is fraying or there are parts of the rope missing. The rope and the desired surface—such as a stove door—form a solid bind thanks to the adhesive, guaranteeing a durable and efficient seal. When fire rope and glue are used and installed correctly, they help create airtightness, reduce heat loss, and increase energy efficiency.
