What is Thermal Transfer Ribbon Printing?
Thermal Transfer Printers work exactly how the name implies! Localised heat is applied by a thermal print-head which in-turn melts the wax/resin which is embedded in the ribbon onto the print substrate (Heat Shrink, PVC, Plastic, Paper etc). This then transfers the image onto your substrate/print material.
