Scotch® Vinyl Electrical Tape 700 is a commercial-grade PVC insulating tape that is conformable and extremely flexible. 

By design, it is flame-retardant and offers exceptional resistance to abrasion, moisture, acids, alkalis, corrosion of copper, and weather changes. With little additional bulk, it also offers reliable mechanical protection.

Installation:

Scotch® Commercial Grade Vinyl Electrical Tape 700 should be wrapped in half-overlapping layers with firm even tension for consistent coverage. 

Proper application usually reduces the tape width to around 5/8 of its original size. 

For pigtail splices, extend the tape past the wire ends and fold it back to provide extra protection. Always wrap from smaller to larger diameters and finish with a tension-free final wrap to prevent lifting.
